Mitsubishi HD-1000 or HC-3000 PJ ?

The HC-3000 is about $500 more. What would be the reasons for picking one over the other. I am going to put this on a CARADA CRITERION 96" screen in Brilliant White. My room is 11 ft. wide by 21 ft long. Any suggestions as to which PJ and how far to mount from screen would be appreciated. Want to ceiling mount this with 8 ft 4" ceiling. May be able
to "cut into ceiling" and build a recess for projector if needed.

If you can swing it, there's a few 1080 Pj's hitting the market now at around US$4k-5k, might be worth looking at because of the Blue-ray and HD-DVD 1080 content availability.
