Hey all-
I'm brand new to the forum because, well, I just now today got an HDTV. It's an older Mitsubishi WT-46809 RPTV. It supports 480i/p and 1080i. It has 2 component connections that accept 480i/p and another component/RGBHV connection that supports 480i/p & 1080i. My situation is as follows: I have an Xbox with the Microsoft HD AV pack and it's connected to the component/RGBHV connection. I have the xbox set to display 480p & 1080i from the xbox dashboard. Problem is when I switch to the DTV connection (the component/RGBHV one) to play xbox the image is severely distorted and extrememly staticy. The HDTV is set to display 1080i as well as the xbox. SO, why isn't there a usuable image when I use the DTV connection? When I say the image is distorted I mean it's hardly there at all. There are a bunch of static lines and I can barely make out the green background of the Xbox dashboard. Also, can I change the resolution of the DTV connection? It says it supports 480i/p & 1080i, but it seems to only want to display 1080i. ANY help would be great! Thanks everyone!
