Misuse of 3D Digital Lens Leaves 2D Movies In The Dark [boston.com]

Saw this article yesterday and wrote a short blog rant about it. I'm sure for the crowd here I don't need to explain why this practice is so disappointing. Anyway, just something to be aware of if your local theater runs 3D movies and you go to see a 2D digital screening. If the picture is really dark, chances are they've left the circular polarizer installed.

You would think theater owners/operators would be falling over themselves to combat the move to home theaters. Instead my investments into my home continue to look smarter and smarter.

The disrespectful movie go'ers were the reason I started on this path. Now theater operators are cementing my belief that I can have a better experience at home.

I make better popcorn also.
