Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Still a fun watch

Seven of these movies, and I would rate 5 of them very fun to watch. I make full disclosure, I do not like Tom Cruise, but he is good in these movies and has a great supporting cast.

I am a bit torn on if it was too long, almost 3 hours!, but they gave almost every cast member time to shine and I enjoy when they do that. Over the top story, but very creative, I would rate a A-/B+ and my second favorite out of the series. Great use of spatial audio in IMAX.

It didn't quite deliver the box office they expected though, so we'll see what it means for the series.

I did think it was too long. The wife and I left kind of meh. To me Ghost Protocol was the best of the series so far.

I have the 6 disc Blu-ray series I bought like 4 years ago, which I haven't watched yet, but have seen the six movies streaming beforehand. I guess I'll wait for the 4K when it comes out for this movie. It would be cool to see the stunts in 3D though.

I think they are kind of in bed for the series as they already shot most of Part 2 since the release date is less than 1 year away. 291 million budget on part one is scary as it's one of the most expensive movies to date. It probably has to do at least 500 million to break even after marketing and other costs.

That being said is still in reviewing well.

I mean after part 2. Less people going to the theaters these days.
