Mission was bought by IAG several years ago. The same IAG that owned Wharfedale, Quad, bought Castle Acoustics and apparently own Luxman, too. As well as Apogee, Audiolabs and building yachts

I have no idea what is the current status of ownership.

There's been a lot of confusion and inconsistency with IAG. And the Chang bothers (and sister) have created a convoluted mess, with their brands.

Well, at least here in the USA they have a convoluted mess. Difficult to figure out what the hell is going on.

Well, at least here in the USA they have a convoluted mess. Difficult to figure out what the hell is going on.

Unfortunately the UK Hi-Fi industry has fallen on increasingly hard times since the mid seventies. One of the earliest casualties was Harold J. Leak, followed by Brenell engineering, British Ferrograph, Garrard, Rogers and Armstrong. Rupert Neve also became a casualty developing the worlds first digital mixer and had to be bought by the Siemens group. It really all follows the trajectory of the decline of Western manufacture.

Celestion and KEF fell to be acquired by Gold Point Industries out of Hon Kong. Celestion is now just a junk line, and KEF a mere shadow of what went before. It is a great tragedy and and an ill wind that seems to blow ever stronger.

All have struggled to a varying degrees, especially those whose mainstay is electronics.

SME and ATC have been bright spots that have soldiered on. Loricraft have also successfully resurrected the Garrard Brand. Creek I think struggles.

IAG out of China now owns a good deal of the some very famous brands, including Quad.

Manufacturing is now solely in China, but service is concentrated at Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.

The whole outfit, with the exception of the service center, were there are still an aging group of hard workers devoted to protecting Peter Walker's legacy and reputation.

Unfortunately these wretched eggs are almost impossible to unscramble.
