Hi All!

Are there and reviews or users out there of the Mirage Unitheater? I'm trying to find out from others on the performance as I can't listen to it locally.

Thanks for the help.

I used to work for API that manufactured this model and it is an excellent speaker. The Sales Manager, who was a very picky audiophile and also owned Energy Veritas (another API brand now both owned by Klipsch) loved his Unitheater. Great, spacious sound in a simple design. I prefer the look of the black one over the silver (unless you have a silver flat panel of course) as you cant see drivers so clearly.

LMAO. The name can be taken 2 ways: "Uni-Theater" or "Unit-Heater".

I bought a Uni-theater just before christmas and am pretty happy with it. It is part of a mostly new setup for a new house, and at first I thought it had a very tinny sound quality for television (mostly voices). I was very un-impressed going from low end Onkyo HTIB speakers to the uni-theater. However, after playing around with my new receiver (HK AVR347) I quickly realized that my problem was not the speakers but the processing selected. I was using Dolby Digital, and it sounded great once I switched it to DTS. I never noticed differences like this between any of the various surround processing modes with any of my old speakers, but with the uni the differences become very noticable.

I was pretty amazed by the differences that were soo apparent in just switching the speakers. My old Onkyos sounded fine under any of the modes, but there is a huge difference between the modes with the uni-theater.

Anyway, besides my learning even more about sound processing and speakers, I am now pretty pleased with the sound quality of this mirage speaker.
