Mirage Speaker Question

I recently was given a pair of Mirage M-1 Speakers and had a question. Not to be a newbie, but each speaker has 2 sets of speaker connector posts on it and from what I cna remember, the old receiver that these speakers were hooked too had 2 sets of speaker connectors on it to connect each speaker.

Now I have a new denon receiver and it only has a single set of speaker connectors for the left and right front speakers. How do I connect these speakers to my Denon reciever since each of these speakers has 2 sets of posts instead of one.

Any help would be great appreicated.

You could bi-wire them which it sounds like what might have been done previously, but doesn’t net you anything. If the terminals are strapped together (+-+)(---) connect them normally using either set. If they’re not strapped, you can use a short piece of speaker wire to connect them together.

So when you mean use a small piece of wire, you mean from the + to + connection and a small wire to the - to - connection right?

You've got it. That and most bi-wire setups are mainly a waste of money. A good piece of wire to connect the terminals together is all you need.

Thanks for your help AVRat. I think I will just use some wire to connect each of the +'s & -'s together. It will be easier and cheaper to do it that way.

they got metal jumpers you can use too..i think CC/bB sells em

Just go to any high end dealer that carries your speakers and they will probably just give you a pair of jumper bars.
