Mirage LF100 Connection to Onkyo TX-SR505, Dolby Digital or ProLogic

I finally made the move from my old Onkyo Pro-Logic receiver (TX-SR414PRO) to a new (refurb) Onkyo TX-SR505 which supports Dolby Digital, etc.

My sub, a Mirage LF100 has 2 low level inputs, 1 for Dolby Digital and 1 for ProLogic. Here is the manual(http://miragespeakers.com/PDFs/current_manuals/LF/LF100/LF100manual.pdf)
Basically the manual states that when you are connected with Dolby Digital, the receiver provides the management of sub output and frequency, i.e. bypassing the sub's internal crossovers. The ProLogic inputs make use of the internal crossovers.

Does anyone know if the sub pre-out on the Onkyo TX-SR505 will provide the necessary management for the sub on the Dolby Digital input?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Yes it does, the vast majority of current receivers have global bass management at least. The general x-over setting to start with 80 Hz.

I had problems with my LF100 when connected to a Denon 1905 via the sub-out to the LFE (xover bypass) connection on the LF100.
This was causing a lot of vibration(for want of a better term).

The guys at Tweeter's suggested using the other (dolby pro logic input?)
RCA port and set the xover on the sub. They said the LF100
has problems with the LFE/Bypass input connector.

This worked and the sub sounded much better.

So I would suggest trying both.

Thanks for the info. I'll hook it up and let the Onkyo calibrate again with its mic and see what happens. I can say that with the Pro-Logic setting it seemed a bit too much bass in most non-movie settings, so we'll see what happens and I'll post my results.
