Minimum passive radiator distance

I am rearranging my subs again. What should be the minimum distance for the passive radiator from the wall. I have a front firing 1000 Watt (12") Sub with sidefiring 12" passive radiator.

Thanks TLS Guy. This afternoon I am going to hook it up. I did it bevore with only about 1 1/2" and I thought I was getting somekind of feedback at high levels. I have to move my whole system about 6" to the left. And if YOU say 4" is good then I know I am save.

I agree with TLS Guy, 4 inches is about a great minimum distance on average.
