I hadn't really listened to this stuff since back when I was an angry teen (read, early 90's) but, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has been putting out some very well produced and layered music......for free.
In yet another punch in the mouth to his record label, he released his last album on his website in it's entirety for no charge, and in 24b/96khz at that.
I recommend a listen (especially since it costs you nothing). With higher end equipment, you can catch alot of subtle nuances.
