Hello everybody. I'm a leftover from the age of transistors. Grew up during the late 60's and 70's and knew my way around recievers, amps, speakers, turntables, etc. Don't know diddley squat about digital recording or viewing. Looking to try to keep up with what the heck my 19 year old son is talking about in terms of hd, blue tooth, gaming systems and games. He finds it amusing that I actually grew up with black and white TV and was around before color became mainstream. Ah...the good old days.
I Found this site when I followed a hit on a query regarding a band called the Raveonettes. Looked good so I registered. Will be looking for help in the near future for advice on mid-priced home theater sound systems. Talk to you soon, cohojg58

Grew up in the late '60s and '70s.......

You do know that the average life expectancy in America is:

  • White Males - 75.4
  • Black Males - 69.2
  • White Females - 80.5
  • Black Females - 76.1

With an average life expectancy of 77.6 years.
That means middle age for the average American begins at 38.8 years.
And anything past that point would be considered "Over The Hill".

(Face it. We're old farts :( )
