What are some good midrange speakers?

I'm looking to start slowly upgrade my sound system. I have a pair of Pioneer CS-G911s but I can't find any specs on them, so I might sell them to my sister and start new. Unless of course someone might be able to provide me w/ specs for them or tell me that they're worth keeping.

Thanks guys

I really don't think that was the answer you are looking for. Are you pleased with the sound of the speakers? If so, keep'em. If you want something to compare them to, check out The Speaker Company, or Elemental Designs, or Ascend Acoustics, or Hsu Research. There is this post yesterday which is a glowing review of the TSC TSBL speakers, and those only cost $180 a pair. These Tweakcity WAF speakers look pretty good for the price, as do these Infinity speakers. Also check out these EMP towers, they are at a fantastic introductory price. These Behringer speakers are very cheap, and there are guys here who swear by them, do a search on them in this forum.

I think that is what you mean by 'mid-range' speakers, some people might call them 'mid-fi'. Something better than the mini stereo systems and shelf top systems you see at wal-mart and Target, but still less than the price of a new car. There are a lot of different audio systems in this range, so what you should do is set some criteria: a budget, size and aesthetic restrictions. You should also have a sound that you are looking for, for example, if you like rap and hip hop, you are going to want bass ie. subwoofers, but if what you listen to are older recordings, you might not need a subwoofer at all.
