Why do we see microphones attached to the speaker during reality shows or awards function, but in films we don't see microphones even in extreme scenes?

Thanx

Because movies have budget and time for concealment, setup, boom mics, directional mics, anything at all required to make it look and sound natural. That includes a lot of retakes and editing.

Seriously, I have no life.

What speakers- guitar amps, or all mics?

Because that's how the sound gets to the mixer during a live event- placing the mic close to the source is the only way to get the sound with a bit of isolation. It's called 'close miking' and it's used so each instrument or voice can be controlled separately.

If you're referring to all sounds in a film, it's because a lot of the dialog and many other sounds are recorded after the video has been recorded, then mixed with the video. Most of the sounds in a movie aren't what occurred when the video was recorded, it's added later, by people who are called 'Foley Artists' and the sounds they use are not what we see.

I assumed the "speakers" referred to were the people speaking.
