(Reuters) - More than 500 people were injured when a meteorite shot across the sky and exploded over central Russia on Friday, sending fireballs crashing to Earth, shattering windows and damaging buildings.

That's not even the one that's going to fly by sometime today.

Some of the videos are pretty cool. Actually looks like the movies... The crazy part is I've seen one that looked kinda like that, but not that big. It was green and so bright that it lit up the area I was in (around midnight) like it was daytime for a few seconds and broke up just like that one.

When I was a kid, one went over while we were camping out in my back yard.
I guess it went over much slower (and seemed lower) than the one in the news. I remember it being bright red/orange and making a sizzling sound as it went over.
