At CEDIA 2014, we caught a glimpse of the McIntosh MXA70 Integrated Audio System. This desktop solution isn't just a bare-bones receiver with a couple of knockoff speakers. The MXA70 includes a high-quality headphone amp, three digital inputs capable of accepting up to 24-bit/192Hz (a fourth can accept 32-bit/192Hz), and speakers rated down to 60Hz. With cast aluminum enclosures for the speakers and the traditional McIntosh stylings (like the Output Meters), it should come as no surprise that the MXA70 commands a $6000 price tag.
