Mcintosh: $1300

Arcam $1000

Marantz $900

Considering picking up one of these. Which would offer the best sound quality for music?

If this is at all related to your thread on bookshelf speakers then you're really spending your money on the wrong things.

That aside, any of the three would do you just fine.

If you ask each of them the same question, you know what they are going to say already don't you? If you do a properly set up comparison listening session such as listening in pure direct mode without even a sub, it will be highly unlikely that you could tell them apart.

No it is not the bookshelf thread is for a 2.0 library system, with older onkyo reciever.

The recievers being discussed in this thread would be for my theater and it would prolly be connected to the Emptek E55TI's or the aperion grand towers.

Was looking for an arcam myself...the lack of toys did'nt bother me...however the reliability issues did..
