Any opinions on the MBquart Alexxa line of subwoofers, or what about the Martin Logan Abyss?

i have the abyss( in a 2 sub system), and find it more than ample for music and above average for ht. Measured it down to 22hz.optional front or down firing, and tight clean bass, stereo inputs as well as lfe.

Thanks for the reply. Do you find that there is any distortion at high volume levels?
Seems like there is very little information out about these subs, or some of the other comparable subs like the Outlaw subs. I thought for sure there would be some information somewhere on the forum about the MB Quart Alexxa since Audioholics sells them, but have found none. It seems like SVS and Av123 rule the audio forums.

none noticed they are very controlled subs, and have punch not boom. what are your considerations for usage, room size, and budget?

budget anywhere from $800-$2000. Looking for bang for the buck, along with performance that won't make me regret what I bought. Size of the room is 20 by 40, with 8 feet to the ceilings. Mostly HT, but occasionally gaming and music.

would that be better than 2 abyss? And are you buying your Martin Logan online or through a dealer. Thanks for the help. I really like the design of these speakers.

Thanks for the info, I hadn't even seen that sub. That will be what I am going with. It is nice to hear something a little different about subs besides HSU, SVS, Av123. They are great subs, and a good value, but I was looking for something a little different.

Thanks again for steering me in the right direction. It should be a bit of a conversation piece being a little different than a square box.

I have the Descent (not i), and totally love it. The looks if nothing else are stunning, but the sound is wonderful. You could find a used one for well under $2000 no problem, and I'd say it's quite worth it especially if looks matter. The Depth has barely less range, some less output, same looks, but costs about $2000 new. Just a thought...
