Hi all,
How long can I make a 3.5mm - RCA cable without signal loss problems??
I want to connect my ipod to my hi-fi system (stereophiles shrieks
), and I want to make a long enough cable so I can sit on my couch controlling the ipod while it's connected to the hi-fi in the front of the lounge room about 5 meters away.
After some measurements, I would need a cable run of about 16m (52.5ft) in length (using perhaps Canare 4S6), and I've read some articles online that tells me 50ft is the maximum run..
Do you think I'll run into problems of signal loss, interference or any other havoc? Or there are other solutions?
Thanks..
