Do you all have a general standard you use, like all the speakers or Electronics need to match by brand, or by color? The good sub makers only offer Black for a reasonable price. Opinions? What if my other stuff is cherrywood?

If you want to match timber, usually most important across the front three, the easiest way is simply using the same speaker for L/C/R. Or at least from same brand and lineup (or if another line from the same brand they may advise it matches or not). Usually not a huge deal in any case. Don't know what the sub color has to do with it, there are subs that can come in a variety of finishes, but it will just likely cost you more. Or you could apply your own cherrywood veneer to match your speakers.

So for timber, I'll just go with my veneer yourself or hire someone like David Salk to do it for you as he did with his speakers :)

Well, if it bothers you match them, re-veneer the sub, etc.
If it doesn't bother you, why worry?
If it bothers others, ask them to get you matched up next christmas.:)

What timber is your speakers made from?
