Matching center channel to Focal’s 1027Be

I recently purchased a pair of Focal 1027Be’s and would like to purchase a non-Focal center channel speaker for watching movies. I know that a Focal CC 1000Be is the optimal match for volume linearity and aesthetics but at the $2500 ~ $3,500 price range, that’s just a bridge too far. Are there other speaker manufacturer’s that will play nice with the Focal’s under $1500? I was looking at a Paradigm Signature C3 v1, since it has a beryllium tweeter, like the Focal’s.

I don’t care about the veneer or size, as long as the sound is simpatico with the Focal’s. My current Klipsch just doesn’t cut it. It’s hard to describe, but there’s a disconnect to what I’m hearing. My wife & friends tell me it’s perfectly fine but something ain’t right to me in Muddville.

Trouble is...no matter what you get (even if you get similar tweeter's ) ,it's almost certainly going
To be in the same bracket as the klipsch..to some extent.
I went through 3 centre's (some very similar in design)
,none were quite right.

Do focal not have smaller bookshelf's in that same range that
You can pick up cheap...
I've got two (i dare say one would be fine) smaller bookshelf's operating as a centre, because
No matching centre was made for my mains.

Yes the matching surrounds 1007Be are $3500 a piece (new) so I’m back to the price conundrum. What’s bizarre is that the PSB B6 surrounds sound great now, compared to when I had them matched with the Bose Series V 901’s; be kind I know the Bose brand is viewed with disdain but in 1981 they were the cat’s meow.

Doesnt matter what you do anyway..if your anything like me..
You'll never rest till you get one....
Even if you get very close...it'll never be 100%

Easy for me to say..i wasnt even looking and stumbled upon
Mine ..tucked away in the secondhand corner....£40....for the pair...couldnt believe my luck


If anyone knows a good match they'll be on here
Try avf as well..uk forum..good guys on there
