I think I'm sold on ribbon tweeters in my surround channels.
I plan on buying a pair of rear channel surrounds in the next month or 2.
I will be running 4.1 when I get them and my sub.
I've been looking at Martin Logan Motion speakers a lot lately
from the Motion 40 tower down to the Motion 4 and even a few of their
used ESL hybrid Motion speakers on ebay. I would prefer the Motion 60 towers
in case my Acoustats go down, to cover a wider frequency range, though I might
just buy a pair of Magnepans if that ever happens and I cannot get them repaired.
I'm heading to N.E. tomorrow and might have a chance to audition ML speakers
along the way. Has anybody any comment on the Sunfire speakers?

They certainly don't cover the bass bases very well, but would handle all the power
most of us could throw at them, but it's not about power so much. (150W and up considered)
Aesthetically the Sunfires win out. They just look mean with finesse. 117db SPL
One other option is the SVS ultra surround, as you can run 2 separate channels in/out
of each one

but they have no ribbon tweeter, and like the Sunfire, are rather pricey to the point
I could get a pair of used ML EM-ESLs
If you vote or not, it would be splendid to share your reasons.
There's no wrong reason here. Looking for feedback on two major brands in particular
Martin Logan and Sunfire.
