martin logan encore tf

I recently purchased a set of 3 ML encores and was curious if anyone else was using them. I listened to them in Sound World in Appleton, Wi. and feel in love. However I was looking for some surrounds that would compliment these speakers would anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking direst radiators as my seating is right up against the back wall and there is only walls on 3 sides. Thanks Greg

Hi Greg, I would think getting two more for surrounds would be the best thing. Home Theater Direct may be an option since they have a ribbon tweeter. I purchased some Martin Logan Montages at Sound World in Appleton and was thinking of getting an encore for a center channel since Audio Advisor has them marked way down. What did you have before and how do the Encores compare if I may ask? Tom

existing speakers

I have Polk Audio RT1000i fronts, CS350ls center, Rt F/X surrounds which are on the fritz presently. And a Sony Sub. I have a Onkyo nr-tx807 for the receiver a 50" Panny plasma, PS3, xbox 360, a 400 disc dvd player. Our room is very odd in it's lay out. What programs are out there that are free to draw up my room placement of everything. So you can get a better idea of my room. I would like to use the ML as LCR's. So anyway Thanks

go for the surrounds that suit your budget and needs as long as your not a hardcore SACD fan

Greg, There are some free cad programs out there but you can't save the drawings, but I think you can print them. Alibre is one of them. They are basically tryout or demo programs. Hope this helps. Tom
