Currently have sub out from receiver connected to lfe in on the sub. Simple question, any benefit to using both jacks on the back of the sub (Y cable). Read a few places that it gets a stronger signal?

If you split the signal to feed each input, you've already cut the signal in half by splitting it in the first place.

Net gain: Zero

What is your objective? Are you having a problem?
I have read similar things to what you mentioned, but never tried it because my subs worked fine as is.

It won’t get you anything useful. If it does get a stronger signal into the sub, that just means the sub will play louder with its current gain setting. Assuming you already have it set correctly, you’ll just end up turning it down to compensate.
