I currently have a 7.1 setup with 2 Martin Logan Motion 15s in the front, Martin Logan Motion 50XT as center.
For side and rear channels I have Electromotion IC 6.5's.
I have a new 8 month old baby and am concerned the baby can pull the speaker stands over and the heavy bookshelves will come crashing down on him. Therefore I am considering replacing the front speakers with Electromotion IC 6.5s for the front sound-stage.
Can anyone give me an idea of how this well change the sound having all in ceilings vs. bookshelves for front sound-stage and inceliings for surrounds?
One advantage is that the in ceilings have a 6.5 driver vs the 5.25 in the bookshelf; will that make up for the tradeoff of it being in ceiling?
Any other ideas on baby proofing?
