Marantz SR7011 Vs. SR7012

Hi All, this is my first post here on AH. I'm reaching out for a sanity check on my next choice for an AV receiver. For the last 5 or so years I've been using a Pioneer SC-61 pushing video to a Samsung 55" 8K series TV (non 4K) which I've been very pleased with. The pioneer replaced several Onkio mid level units over the last two decades. All receivers have been used with mid-level Infinity speakers in a 5.1 config using an older Velodine 10" sub.

I'm now looking into 4K and recently set eyes on a high end 65" Sony. Up until now I've been a die hard Samsung (8K series) fan-boy and never considered changing manufactures until I saw the Samsung 65" KS8000F (QLED) next to the Sony A8F OLED. For my non-dedicated theater room, OLED is going to win out.

Most speakers have been recently replaced using a variety of Acoustic Research which consists of the following: Center Channel is the AR2-C L and R mains are AR-9's and rears are AR-15's. Plan to retain a pair of Infinity's for the High's located above TV (not ceiling) and the Velodine Sub. I'm also planning on adding a second Sub. My Pioneer is going a good job pushing the power hungry AR's but I'm sure they will only improve with additional power.

I was originally trying to stay in the neighborhood of $1K (receiver only) give or take a few hundred. I've recently taken a liking with the Marantz units both for the features and esthetics's. I originally started looking into the SR6012 which seems to be a reasonable replacement for my Pioneer but yesterday I got to hear the SR7012 and the SR 6012 switching back and forth between them. I was a bit taken back my the SR7012 which now has me considering ponying up more money to invest. In comparing price from the current SR7012 and last years 7011 I see I can get a new SR7011 for < $1300. I also realize the new SR7013 should be released soon which will in turn drive down price of both the SR 7012 and likely the SR7011 too.?

So it comes down the feathers right? From what I've been able to establish the SR7011 is very similar to the SR 7012 with exception to: 1) SR7012 comes with Auro 3D. 2) The SR7011 is Auro 3D upgradable, for $199. 3) The SR7012 is also eARC upgradable via firmware. 4) And if I understand the SR7012 has discrete sub outs
Given my intended use is there any reason I should be holing out for either the SR7012 or soon to be released SR7013? Will the discrete sub outs on the SR7012 make that much of a difference?

And before someone chimes in with Denon options I'll say the looks of the Marants units are worth a few dollars to me.
Thanks All!

-Robert
