Yes, this is an AVR that is 15+ years old.
I have good (great!) video quality on two different HDMI inputs. However, the audio output comprises ~ 5 seconds of audio, and then 1-2 seconds of audio silence (the video remains solid). The AVR display flashes “Dolby” on / off, and simultaneously flashes on / off icons for 2 channel stereo.
For the ATV, I upgraded the HDMI cable from the 2008-ish version, but no improvement. The legacy ATV that was replaced had an HDMI cable AND an optical audio cable.
For the Fire Stick, it’s plugged directly into the AVR. The Fire Stick audio MAY be slightly better.
