I ordered the marantz sr4001 i am going to be using a 5.1 speaker setup boston acoustics.
I listen to a lot of music and was wondering if when in stereo mode will it only play front speakers left and right.
is there a way to have it play 4 speakers or 5 including center channel for music having all speakers play at the same output.

I'm not positive about this particular receiver but my yamaha allows me to play 5-channel stereo, letting you play 2-channel audio out of all of your speakers. Hope this helps.

Marantz has an excellent auto-surround mode that will take 2 channel input and play on 5.1 , 6.1 or 7.1 output.

multi channel mono, thats my understanding of all the "all ch music dsps". All speakers play the same, for like parties so you dont have to crank it up and everyone hears the same signal.
