I have a marantz sr 8002 and a set of Bose 901 series v speakers. Is there a way to hook up the 901 equalizer for surround sound?Iknow I can hook up to the tape loop but this recommended for home theater. Can it be hooked up to pre outs on receiver and if so,what do I plug into for in?Also, will Audyssey set up take care of this problem?

The 901 equalizer is not compatible with surround sound it was designed exclusively for stereo (I assume you are not intending the 901's to be your rear speakers).
You cannot use the pre-out because there is no way to feed it back into your AVR.
Tape Loop will not work unless you have a tape monitor setting (pretty sure the SR8002 does not have, but check me).
Lets say you are watching a movie from your Blu Ray player. So your source is "BD". So you connect the tape out to the Bose EQ and the EQ back in through the Tape In.
As soon as you switch the input to tape so you can get the signal from the Q, you are cutting the feed from the BD!
However, you can use the Pre-out connectors with 2 cahnnels from a separate amp to power the Bose 901's
Here is a good response to your situation:
