Have you tried a factory reset yet? If that does not work, then you should give Marantz a call. By the way, FW update should be done when the unit is hard-wired, instead of via wifi, but you probably know that already.

Thanks

Also curious also about whether via wifi or hard-wired, and if you even needed the update at all (I turn them off generally until I know what the update addresses, rather than an automatic update mode).

Those are the reset instructions I see in your manual.

Good news with new way as follows:
Power off AVR, press
Power Button
while simultaneously pressing DYNAMIC EQ and M-DAX and then Power On AVR for factory reset and Restore FW.
AVR is ok now.

Did you get that on the interwebs somewhere or did Marantz provide that? Congrats in any case if you solved your problem....

Lucky you, be sure to use Ethernet hard-wired before you make another attempt on FW update. Also, unless you have a good reason to update, just leave it alone.
