Marantz SR-5500 vs. Harman Kardon AVR130

I have been offered a deal a Marantz SR-5500 for $1000AUD
or a Harman Kardon AVR130 (bottom of the range) with a DVD-22 for $875.

Im thinking overall the marantz is a better amp however the HK pack is cheaper and comes with a DVD player. Perhaps get a higher up HK amp the AVR235? for 1000$ or is the marantz still a better amp?

Altough I'm not a jap fan, the Marantz is a pretty impressive unit. Even the 5500 will sound good. Looking at your receiver (Pioneer), I think this is THE upgrade you should do. Let alone the cd-player; you already have one. And from my point of view, a 1000$ cd-player isn't worth spending that amount of hard-earned cash. I'm using a 150$ cd-dvd player hooked on analogs for my music and it sounds as great as your HK I'm sure
