marantz powerlite home cinema 1080 install

I have mounted my home cinema 1080 to the ceiling. Im not sure if i should plug it into a ceiling outlet or run a 25 ft extension cord to my monster power to give it clean power and surge protection. The monster power unit is in another room adjacent. Plug the projector in close without protection or run extension to monster power?!!

I'd say plug it into the ceiling but purchase a 2 outlet surge protector. Monster and Panamax both make them and I'm sure others do as well.
