Marantz/Garrard speaker

I know little or nothing about speakers and am lookng at a set of Marantz Imperial 7 and Garrard GSS 820 speakers for purchase and I have no idea if these are trash or treasure. Can someone on this site give me a little input on these speakers? I don't need heavy paper weights.

Those are some old speakers. I would suggest something newer. If you provide a budget with sound and size preferences maybe we can help.
