Marantz AV8802 and AV7702 worth looking into?

Hello,

There is an AV8802 and AV7702 for sale locally. I presently have separate AMPs running from a Marantz SR6013 and a Sony STRZA-3100ES.

They sound good and nothing wrong with them. No significant floor noise that you can hear from listening position. They handle the ATMOS I use.

Always curious if a pre/pro makes any difference but don't want to waste money for a lateral sound. I'm leaning towards not worth it unless I could get a bargain but any significant reason to kick the tires on either of these vs. what I have?

No, those are older. Keep the Marantz you already have.

I'd call that a lateral move unless you can find some functionality you don't already have with your current gear that you need.
