I've had the AV-560 (DD/DTS) since it was new, has worked flawlessly.
I'm considering getting a receiver to use as a pre/pro so I can have HDMI switching, component upconversion to HDMI (I have an XBOX), and the newer audio formats (not sure it I really need them).
I use a Parasound 1205a amp (5 channel / 140wpc) and love it.
I'm not going to 7.1 anytime soon and not sure I really need DPLIIx since most of what I watch is HDTV or movies.
I wish someone made a reasonablly priced component2HDMI converter and built-in HDMI switcher. -- anyone know of one?
Anyway... how does my current AV-560 pre/pro compare to a current Yam/Den/Mar receiver in the $1200 range... what I figure I'll need to spend to get the features I want.
