Marantz 7400 or Denon 2805

Which one do you think is best?

I heard only the 3805 (via DVD2900) and liked it.

I heard the 7400 (via DV6400) and liked as much, and was amazed by a CD7300 player as source.

Liked the sr5400 almost as much.

And 7400 vs 2805? Should I wait to compare 2805 vs 7500?

Have you listened to them both with your speakers? What speakers do you have? My personal preference would be the Marantz, but its more laid back and neutral than the dynamics of the Denon (in my opinion better for music). However, depending on your speakers, it may not be a good match. If you like them equally, go with the one you get the better deal on/has more features-whichever is more important to you.

I like the Marantz musically so it matches my currents options on speakers, Ma Silver, Canton Karat... based on metal tweeters.

Marantz then becomes a faultless match.
