Marantz 7013 question

Does anyone know for preouts on my 7013 what is the setting to get the same signal from main left and right to come out of surrounds? I have plugged them in and set the amp for surrounds in speaker set up but nothing comes out of them regardless of my playback mode. I’m doing something wrong and probably simple. But will this give me the same signal as left right mains or is it a surround signal? Sorry for being naive or stupid. I have read the manual over and over and it doesn’t give much detail and I can’t get Marantz on the phone since covid. They must have one person handing North America

Usually the “all channel stereo” mode will do that. Connect the surround speakers to the surround(not rear surround) terminals set it to all channel stereo. Should do what you want. Curious though, why you’d want that in particular.

Want to run dual towers two channel with dual A2 amps. Other option is an rca split but then I have to amp the signal to the amps since I lose half the voltage. Anthem recommended doing that but I was seeing if I could get a second pair of stereo signals coming out of it.

Anthem recommended you run two pairs of speakers as left/right? Why?
