Marantz 7001 & Comcast

Hi ! My Marantz 7001 receiver arrived and I'm very pleased. But, I can't figure out a way to get the Marantz remote to do "page up / page down" for my TV channels in "Guide." I'm a subscriber to Comcast and my box is a Motorola DCT 700/US

Does anyone know of a macro or other way to get page up/down on the Marantz remote interacting with for a Comcast box?

BTW, I have figured out a macro for powering down / up all my units: TV, DVD player, and the Comcast box. If anyone's interested, I can post it.

If you are using a pre-programmed 'setup' code for the Marantz remote it just may not have the codes for page up/down for Comcast. The Comcast box is probably a Motorola so you could try codes for Motorola if they are listed in the manual.

Otherwise, you need to use the original cable box remote and teach the remote (if it is learning capable).

About a Logitech Harmony 550 remote control (only $50 at several places).

That will beat your good looking but quite unfriendly Marantz remote control.

The 7001 does come with a learning remote. That seems like the easiest solution to me.
