Maybe a stupid question, but when you turn up the bass with the manual EQ, are you turning up bass through the whole system including the sub, or is it just the main speakers? When set to large, no sub, i definately hear a big difference. When I turn the sub back on, bass seems to cancel each other out.

Well with your 3805, you should have a EQ for each seperate channel.

The 8 band internal eq does each channel like Brian said. It makes a huge difference in bass output when setting the fronts to large. If you need more bass, set the fronts to large, and turn up the output level on the sub.

Good question but I really don't know. I was just looking at mine and there is no EQ for the sub. But what I think is happening if you boost the 63hz band on the fronts and have your sub crossed over at 60 or 80hz the signal below the crossover point is sent to the sub without that boost. If you still want to run your sub try a lower crossover point and see if that makes any difference.

And do you have the sub set to Main + LFE?
