I definitely thought "Maleficent" was the best Disney adaptation of all times. I enjoyed this movie a lot. :D

I've heard really mixed reviews on this one, but I have had it in my cart for a while to see how the price goes. May just rent it first, even though I liked Snow White and the Huntsman (same director).

Oh, man, I utterly hated Snow White & the Huntsman!

I did not care for a single character in that movie. Hated it.

I can't believe it's the same director!

I think the director improved big time here. :D

OK, says not same director? Hmm...I thought I read that and it said it was a trilogy of Evil Queens from the same director? Maybe producer? Weird.

Looking at the credits for the director of Maleficent, the guy has been involved in a LOT of movies that I really like, so I'll pick this one up.

Yeah, so Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg. Love this movie.

Snow White and the Huntsman was directed by Rupert Sanders. Hate this movie. :D

I could tell without even knowing who directed these movies that "Maleficent" was done so much better. ;)

IMO, these 2 movies (and respective directors) are not even in the same league. :)

I liked Snow White, but not enough to buy it. It was entertaining, not classic.

Watched the BD over the weekend via Redbox for .33 cents :) It was sold out everywhere local but I got lucky and found it for rent. Glad I rented it, because though I enjoyed it quite a bit, it isn't a keeper for me. I like what they did, but they changed it WAY too much. The statement by the screenwriter was that they used the original animated film as the basis and even lifted scenes directly from it (quite well I might add), but the story went off in the completely opposite direction. It almost felt like it was written by Diablo Cody lol. Enjoyable, great sound, digital effects were a little too obvious at times but were decent, and I really enjoyed the performances by the main characters. Elle Fanning was well selected for the role of Aurora in the context of this film. Definitely worth a rent.

Told you I thought "Maleficent" was the best Disney adaptation I've ever seen. It made "Snow White and the Huntsman" look like it was written and directed by a 10 year old boy. :)

For me it was pretty much the same as Snow White and the Huntsman. Well done movie but nothing really impressive for me. Got mine for 5€ from Black Friday, it is worth the 5€ but surely not the 20€for me.
