I think I'm going for the HK3490 stereo receiver with a pair of KEF IQ9 speakers. First, please tell me what you think. Second, any ideas on cables?

Here's a review:

I am glad you managed to stretch your budget to get the KEF. Room acoustics and speakers make the most difference in sound quality. You may find the IQ9 lacking a little in bass but as you said, the sub will come.............

It would have been an even easier decision if I didn't fall in love with the dark apple or walnut ones, which are really hard to find for my budget. I've found a demo pair for a reasonable amount of money though. If anyone happens to see a crazy bargain on them (<$750) for the pair in dark apple or walnut in the next few days, please let me know.
