I recently moved and basically and the 14ft component cable i bought for $120 for my plasma TV a couple of months ago falls about 4ft short of where i need it to be in my new house. My dish network installer told me to by some coax cable and some component connectors from radio shack and i could put my receiver in the closet if i wanted and run the "homemade" component cable from there to the back of my HDTV. Before I go and spend another $100 on these items and find out quality is an issue please advise. I estimate i can make 33ft for a hundred bucks. I couldnt even find a component cable longer than 14ft to buy if i wanted to and what alternatives do i have if this is bogus?

Or, you can use RG6 type cable, inexpensive.

Go with bluejeans. Good stuff, and about as good as you are going to get for the price IMO.
