I will be getting a samsung LN46A540 from Costco with coupon in late July. The 650 (120mhz) is just out of my price range. Hope I won'y regret my decision.

IMO, you made the right choice. All this 120hz stuff is a bunch of snake oil really. In most cases I would prefer to leave it off. Sure it might make a difference in certain situations, but realize that that technology is manipulating the picture just to try to increase the smoothness and get rid of the jitter/ghosting art., etc, but in the process it changes the way the film looks for movies, an artificial look that the director never intended. In some cases it also introduces other problems such as duplicating objects on the screen. Really, it's just another feature to add to the list to help manufacturers sell more TV's. If these LCD issues are a problem for you, then LCD is not for you. In that case, save your money and just get a plasma. :)

I personally have a Samsung LN-5281F 52" LCD, with 60hz. And a friend of mine just bought one of the new Sharp Auqos 120hz 52" LCD....and honestly, the only time I can see a difference is with channels like CNN or something with the scrolling text at the bottom...his is alot more clear...honestly, the only time I can tell the difference in clarity/response.

You will not not regret you decision with that Samsung, great TV's :)
