I watched the first two Blurays out of this triliogy

The first movie was bad... I mean really bad... from both an acting standpoint and an audio production format. To be fair though, the first flick was to be a low budget action flick that was never intended to create a cult following and gain the popularity that it did in Australia. Its still worth a watch if you want to see why Max turned into "Mad Max" The video was OK.. but the audio quality sucked. It goes to show that you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The second flix "Road Warrior" was much better story wise and the audio production was better too. Video was good in this one.

I'll watch "Beyond The Thunder Dome" this coming weekend and report back on that as well.

I like the first one the best, but yes, it is a very low budget film. If you had not seen it closer to when it came out, it is kind of like watching other 80s action films now many of which will seem pretty dumb but are considered favorites and classics.

The Road Warrior is good and is probably closer to what I expect the new one will be like.

Thunderdome is the worst one by far.

I vaguely remember Tina Turner and that's about it.
