I saw an MPS-5310 on ebay today with a buy it now price of $900 (I'm not the seller nor do i know anything about them). That's from the professional series. I have the newer cousin, the mps 5160 and its really nice. M&K had told me to get the 5160 over the MX350, and if I could to get the 5360 (newer drivers and amp than the 5310 IIRC). I didn't have the $ money then So I went with the 5160. I just bought a dry-suit for scuba today, otherwise I might consider buying that 5310.

I've seen the MX-5000 occasionally over on Audiogon. I checked for you and there is nothing listed now.

M&K MX-5000 THX Subs

Hi, I having been kicking around the idea of selling both of my M&K MX-5000 THX subs and ran across you post.

These are both in the black ash finish and in very good condition, all four of the woofers have been professionally re-foamed and I have the original boxes and packing. Both grills are in great shape with badges.

I don't really want to sell them but there seems to be a real interest in the M&K stuff and if I get a good enough offer I might just take it?

Just remember these guys tip the scale at over 100 LBS each so shipping could be high if you are not real close to zip 97501.

The classifieds here are just a big googler catchbasin. People sign up to reply to dead threads.........Seems silly to me to want to sell to audioholics and then just have googlers come in with no street cred or audioholic saavy.

MPS-5160's for sale

Hi,

I'm one of the guys who bought all the stock at the bankruptcy sale (or rather Deep Surplus did) I work for the sister company Hamster Audio. Anyways, I've been building new MPS-5160's with all original parts and selling them for $750 (a super deal). For the braver of you, I also have a whole bunch of these boxes, the amps and speakers are also available on Ebay and elsewhere if you'd like to purchase a do-it yourself kit and the parts to build you're own.

I've also got for a sale a great frankenstein sub, it is the all new parts of a MX-250/MX-2500 installed in a MPS-5320 box.

The MX-2500 was the 250W amplifier from the VX-1250 installed in a MX-350 Cabinet. It's 250W Vs the 150W 5160 (albeit the 5160 has greater box volume than the 5320), both sound great and you can either make one cheap or buy one assembled by us for $750 dollars.
