M&K 125s system - should I do it?

Okay, bored on a Saturday morning (which is never a good thing for my wallet), so I will throw this out there for some discussion.

I currently have a pair of Dali Lektor 8's, with a matching center channel. I have some modest Polk Audio bookshelves as surrounds in my relatively small room (approx 13x15). (all driven by an Emotiva amp) A friend has a set of 3 M&K 125s speakers, with a pair of M&k 150 ss for surrounds. He also has a massive M&K sub. All are in pristine condition.

I am considered taking them home to audition. Any thoughts on this setup?

I have old M&K speakers and I like them, but my taste is kind of irrelevant. I can tell you that mine* measure very flat, and I find them to be very neutral and uncolored, with headphone-esque detail resolution. They like lots of juice, but fed properly have pleasing dynamic capabilities.

You could do worse than vintage M&K, but depending on their asking price, you may be able to do better. If they are minty and your friend offers a friendly price, they may be worth it.

Did you get to hear them at your friend's house? What did you think? That's all that really matters.

*I have MPS1510, which are basically a single woofer version of the S125 you're considering.

Thanks guys. I am picking the system up tomorrow to audition in my home for a while - no strings attached, so this will be fun. I will update the thread later. I would still love to hear from anyone who reads this who has had or has heard these speakers.
