I have a pair of M-Audio AV-40 monitors that I love but the treble disappeared in the main speaker and after experimenting I discovered that the tweeter was dead. M-Audio was taken over and the new owners have no interest in replacement parts even though they continue to sell the speakers !! The description of these is very limited - 1" diameter, magnetically shielded silk cone tweeter. Does anyone know where I might get more information that might lead to a replacement part from a current vendor ?
