I listen with my mouth open...
Not seeing it on the forums is a good thing!!!
Its not caught up in the mines better opinionated routines that make the forums suck. Tonal quality is a HIGHLY subjective topic, each has their own flavors.
You probably arent seeing them because they have the Polk name and any brand thats carried by CC, BB and others are slammed because those places carry them.
The people whom own them dont want to get caught up in the bull of the forums and are happily listening to them knowing its their own little secret.
I'm not gonna pull any punches here, but when I first got on these places looking to see whats hot and whats not after 15 years outta this stuff, I found the recommendations really didnt sound all to good. It seemed to me as a Fad what was recommended, you know follow the leader, but the leader was lost
I couldnt afford the Polk LSi's,which to me blew away the competetion in its pricing structure and got something else that was more affordable to which I think they blow the rest in its pricing area away.

If you like them, thats all that matters,YOUR EARS, YOUR POCKET and not following everyone else off a bridge!!!!

The Polk LSi line of speakers is tremendous in both sound quality & value. You could spend a whole lot more for a whole lot less. To get some more feedback go the Polk forum at Polkaudio.com. There's a ton of great info overthere on the entire line. Also the RTi line gets a lot of great praise also. Still the bottom line is that you have to go & listen for yourself & go with what sounds good to you regardless of the brand.

The LSi line is a bit out of many's price range, and requires some serious power being a 4 ohm speaker. If you have the cash, and are using a flagship (or near) AVR, or separates, by all means give them a listen. Just don't try powering them with a $1000 receiver. It won't do them justice.

Like I stated in your previous post, I'm very happy with mine but, like everyone else has said, in order to them justice you need a very good amp that is rated for 4 ohm's and is comfortable driving that load.

I've heard nothing but good things about the LSI15's. Yes they are spendy, but a used set just sold for $775 in excellent condition in the flea market on Club Polk forum! You can't beat that price. I haven't heard them yet but am planning to audition them in the next couple weeks because I want to upgrade my Polk Monitor 70's.

Don't forget the 15s and 25s have powered subwoofers built into the towers. Be sure you have an electrical outlet free for each speaker.

Only the Lsi25 has a built in 10" powered sub, the Lsi15 has an 8" passive sub.

i just gave the LSi15 a listen the other day, and two words immediately came to mind: holy s h i t!

i've always poo-poo'd polk as a Best Buy speaker whore, but after the LSi, i'm chowing on a plate of crow.

they were set up at a HiFi Buys/Tweeter, in the same room as the JMLab/Focal Cobalt 816. quite simply, the Polks did everything better. it wasn't even close... the Cobalts were totally put to shame.

if i'd had the money, and if Tweeter had any interest in/knowledge of/merchandise for 2-channel audio, i would have bought them on the spot. they had pretty much everything that i'm looking for in a speaker.

i mostly hear raves about the smooth, articulate highs from the vifa tweeter, which is certainly true... but what really sold me was the tight, musical and completely unbloated bass.

i wish i could've heard them against some B&W 7 or 800 series. i think they'd compete quite favorably.

they were quite pretty as well, with the possible exception of the grills.
