Loving those GIK panels

Wow,
Since I finished the acoustic makover in my HT recently, I cant tell you how much fun I've had watching movies in my acoustically improved room!! Now that I've experienced these improvement first hand, I cant resist the urge to tell everyone I see 'without' treatments, to get with the program!!

Watching individuals debate over which are the best SOUNDING wires, cables, DVD-players, & receivers all seems so silly to me now........considering most of those debating are doing their listening in untreated echo chambers!

The most important component of any audio system that should be upgraded is THE ROOM!!
If you care anything about sound quality........

JUST DO IT,

Sincerely,
The NIKE acoustical police

:D :D :D :D :D

PS...current Pics will soon follow. I should have them up in a day or two eventhough the the room continues to evolve.

Agreed panels should be at the top of the list for upgrades (especially for acoustically challenged rooms). However, people don't realize it. I didn't either until I heard the difference and was amazed. Now, we will have to be like the people in the Hybrid Car "South Park" episode. We have no choice but to be smug and throw out lines like "I have an acoustically treated room and am greatly helping the acoustic environment. You should really acoustically treat your room. (eyes squint now) Thaaaaannnnnks!" :D

Man that was a long way to go for that. It's too bad you can't demo acoustic panels like you can a new receiver. I think a lot of people are affraid the benefits won't be worth the dough. I used to think so, but I have spent more money on other HT products that provided much less improvement.

In hindsight, it's amazing how people will drop the motherload into wires, cables, and various marginal upgrades etc..etc...etc... for the sake of sound quality.

...............and then they sit in a room without an acoustical treatment in sight:rolleyes:

They're totally missing the boat.
