Loved it as a kid... and today

I decided to watch Flight of the Navigator since I had not seen in a while, and I still loved it. I remember being absolutely overtaken by the movie when I was a kid, almost jealous of David Freeman (the central character).

That brings me to the rouse of the thread. Are there any movies you watched as a kid, loved it and then watched years later only to find that you still love it? Here are my picks to get the discussion going,

Flight of the Navigator,
Back to the Future I
Star Wars IV
Mackenna's Gold

Wow Flight of the Navigator I totally forgot about that movie.

Great movie that I saw as a kid and still love: Three Amigos!

It has been so long since I was a kid that it is hard to remember what I saw back then. Flight of the Navigator was great, and I might pick up a copy now that you have reminded me of it. Others that I can think of include Willy Wonka (the Gene Wilder version) and Yellow Submarine.

Yep, that one was on TV not too long ago and I ended up sitting and watching it. I don't own it, but it is a fun flick.

I bought the special edition of Willy Wonka when it came out because I love that one. It is even better today than I remember...better than the new one even though I liked the new one too.

I liked the original The Incredible Journey and Escape to Witch Mouintain. Of course, the original Godzillas.

My big letdown was watching Angel of H.E.A.T. as an adult. Marilyn Chambers still looked good but the movie wasn't funny like I remembered.

These impressed me to no end as a kid, fortunately they're all available in DVD and are part of my collection and they still impress me today.

When Worlds Collide
Forbidden Planet
Jason and The Argonauts
The Time Machine
First Men on The Moon
UFO- English TV series from the very early 70's
Journey to The Center of The Earth
When The Earth Stood Still
