Loudspeaker Reccomendation to Pair with Pioneer SC-1222-K

I have a Pioneer SC-1222-K receiver and I am looking to pair it with a mid-range speaker ( around 2k per pair), any suggestions as to what would pair well with the class D sound?

I have a Hsu VTF-2 MK4 that I will be using in a medium sized room. I am 80/20 home theater/music.

Some speakers I have been looking at include Monitor Audio Silver RX6 or RX8, Martin Logan Motion 40, Aperion Versus Grand, Definitive Technology BP-8060ST, PSB but I am open to anything. I would to find a versatile system with natural sound.

Since you already have a good sub, I wouldn't buy any full range speakers. I would go for bookshelf speakers which will concentrate higher quality in the range which it will actually play in. One pair within your budget that promises to sound great would be the KEF R300s.

Thanks for the feedback, got set up with a pair of R300s! Paired with the the R200c and a pair of old school Monitor Audio Silver FXi and things are sounding sweet!
